C24 – For Those Who Demand Quality
C24 is a quality-assured classification that indicates the strength of a batten. Timber is sorted on a scale from C14 to C35, with C14 having the lowest strength. The numbers represent the value of bending strength. At least 95 out of 100 pieces in a batch must meet or exceed the characteristic strength value.
 
C24 battens should be used in structures where high strength is required, such as joists and roof trusses. Battens with this classification are always stamped with "24", along with the producer's certification number, and are subject to third-party control.
