We have reached our target!
We have now reached our target of selling 15 hectares of land in Liberstad and we can confirm that the construction of Norway's first private city will start this summer.
100 freedom loving people from 25 different countries will become the first landowners in Liberstad
It came as a surprise to us that even two months before the deadline of the pre-sale we have now sold out all of the plots we needed to presell in order to purchase Tjelland Farm and make Liberstad a reality.
The last couple of weeks we have had an enormous increase in inquires and orders for land in Liberstad. People from all corners of the world have put in orders for a little piece of freedom in southern Norway, and upon completion we have now 100 people from 25 different countries that will be the first landowners in what will become Norway's first private city.
The enormous increase in inquires came after an article about Liberstad in one of Internets most popular news-sites for bitcoin news - news.bitcoin.com.
The article came shortly after we started accepting bitcoin as a payment options for land sold through the pre-sale, and the article has since then spread to all corners of the internet. It is no doubt that us accepting bitcoin had a big impact on the pre-sale, and 80 percent of all the sales the last few weeks has been made in bitcoin.

Drone footage from Liberstad
We have put together some drone footage of Tjelland Farm and the property where Liberstad will be established
Liberstad will be established on June 1st 2017
We will now purchase Tjelland Farm and the accompanying properties totaling 150 hectares of land, and the official acquisition of the main property will take place on June 1st. As soon as we have established Liberstad we will immediately start the development of the camping-site, concert-area and road-network. At the same time we will also start the detailed surveying of the property and start drafting the rezoning proposal.
In addition to the 100 plots sold through the pre-sale we will also section out an additional 10 hectares of plots in the housing district. The housing-district consisting of 75 hectares of land will have about 150 freehold plots on 25 hectares of land. The remaining 50 hectares of land in the housing district will consist of road-network, parks, playgrounds and other common areas.
Second round of sale
After the rezoning plans are completed and the first 100 landowners has been assigned their chosen plots we will start the second sales-round of land in Liberstad. An additional 10 hectares of freehold plots will be put out for sale and for those of you that didn't get to purchase a plot through the initial pre-sale you will get another chance once we launch the second round of land sale.
We will also be purchasing surrounding properties so that we can continue to expand Liberstad and make room for more and more residents and landowners. Tjelland Farm which is the first property where we will be establishing Liberstad is only the beginning of a much bigger plan.
You can already now sign up on the waiting list and we will contact you as soon as we have more plots ready for sale. We expect to launch the second sales round in about 2-3 years and if you wish to sign up on the waiting list you can fill out the form on this page and we will contact you before we start the second round of land sale.
Watch the development
We will throughout the entire development of Liberstad document and film the construction and progress and we will regularly post updates on Facebook and send out newsletters with drone footage, videos and pictures of the progress.
Everyone is welcome to visit Liberstad at any time and although we cannot provide accommodations for a lot of people in the first year of development we will be open to anyone who wants to visit Liberstad and spend a day here with friends and family. The campsite and concert-area is two of the first things we will start to construct in Liberstad and we hope to have this ready by the summer of 2018. We also hope to have a few of the rental cabins ready by this time.
Thank you for helping us make Liberstad a reality!
We are deeply grateful for all of the 100 people who have purchased plots and who have taken the step of investing in our project. Without your support and your participation in the project we would not have been able to make Liberstad a reality and start the construction of Norway's first private city.
We would also like to thank everyone who has supported us, shared the project and our post, and written articles about Liberstad. We have received countless of support emails and positive feedback from people all over the world which in turn has fueled our motivation and kept us going up to this point where we now can finally make Liberstad a reality.
Since we started the Liberstad project in August 2015 we have in 21 months reached almost 6500 followers on our international Facebook page and over 1800 followers on our Norwegian Facebook page. We are deeply humbled and grateful for all of your support and for all your help in spreading the word and promoting the project. We hope to see you all in Liberstad soon!
