PRIVATE SECURITY IN A PRIVATE CITY

One of the many advantages of living in a private city is the security benefits, There are several reasons why order and security in a private city is far better then in a political city. One of them is that all property is privately owned and the owners of the properties are responsible for order and security on their respective property. This means that it's up to the landowner what rules apply on his property and can legally remove any person who does not follow the rules of order and conduct.

In a political city where public property is owned by the "community" there will always be problems when individual people have different perceptions of what should be allowed and not, and what is proper behavior. When someone uses public property as their own these problem are difficult to avoid.

In a private city where all property is privately owned it is easier to respect the property of others and these issues will not occur in public areas when there are defined rules and it's easier to relate to other peoples property and respect this.

Landowners have a personal incentive to keep their property clean and safe for residents and visitors, as disorder and a lack of security will lead to less revenue as less people would want to visit and live in the city. The rules of conduct that the landowners set must not be too strict as this would also lead to less profit for the owners. The landowner must find a perfect balance to achieve the highest possible profits in the form of most residents and visitors. The main focus is always on the residents and the visitors to make the city as attractive and pleasant as possible.

In a political city that is led by politicians this incentive is lacking. The developments and policies in the city is set by the governing local politicians and their arbitrary wishes and opinions, and also the state politicians who do not have any relations to the city other than to drain the city and its inhabitants for the most value.

This is just one of the order and safety benefits of a private city. Another advantage is the use of private security-service opposed to police. What many people don't think about is that the police's main task is not to keep order and security for the citizens. The police's main task is to enforce the state laws, which in turn actually lead to less safety and freedom for the citizens when the police at any time is keen to find potential offenders that they can arrest or give fines. The police usually comes after a misdeed has been committed, while private security are more concerned that misdeeds do not occur in the first place.

It is not the jobs of security companies to enforce laws, issue fines or arrest anyone, but rather to ensure that crimes and unwanted behavior doesn't occur at all and that the rules of conduct is followed by explaining them if someone were to break them. With repeated violations of the rules the security guards will remove the person from the city without arrest or fines, and explain in a friendly matter that if the person wants to remain on public areas in the city he must adhere to the landowners rules for the respective property.

Another benefit of security guards as opposed to police is the friendliness. As the security guards works for the city-companies they will relate to the public in a completely different way then the police. The property owners and business owners are concerned for the public's well being and satisfaction and will not hire rude or threatening security guards as this would be bad for business. But rather hire friendly guards who are a part of the city.

Residents who own freehold plots in the city will also benefit from the security service of the city-company and the business owners. Although they don't pay for the service, the security-service will ensure the security in the city as a whole.

In Liberstad we will not tolerate or allow access to people who do not relate and respect private property and the non-aggression-principle.

Below is a link to an article written by Jeffrey A. Tucker about how order and security works in Atlantic Station which is a private city within a city  in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
