Liberstad is a long-term project to establish an area with a community of individuals who want more freedom. In addition to the Camping Resort, there will be a future Cabin Town where property owners can build and establish their private cabins on their private properties.

What the future will bring is hard to know, and it will take tremendous efforts to develop Liberstad. We have a deep and great gratitude towards the initial investors, any future investors and our partners.

City

Liberstad is a project which aims to establish Norway's first private city. In a private city all property is private and all services are performed by private actors.

Liberstad will be a city built on the philosophy that all human interactions should be voluntary.

Liberstad was officially established June 1st 2017, with the help of over 100 investors from 27 different countries. The project will be realized at Tjelland in Marnadal municipality in Norway.

Economy

Being able to establish city services to the citizens of Liberstad, technologies and services must be developed to replace existing outdated IT-systems that traditional municipalities and governments has relied upon. These traditional IT-systems are expensive and inflexible.

City Chain was established to be a blockchain platform where the Smart City Platform will be developed. The Smart City Platform is a distributed system that gives services to citizens through secure and reliable mechanisms.

To use services on the City Chain, you must acquire City Coin to perform transactions and interact with the blockchain.

It is up to individual merchants and stores to decide what currency to accept, but we advice everyone to rely on crypto-based currencies for all trades in Liberstad.

City Coin is the official currency of Liberstad, and it is the means of exchange and use of services on the City Chain blockchain. The City Chain blockchain powers the Smart City Platform, which Liberstad will utilize to deliver its services.
